It was my first time to visit the store. I walked in and I gave my usb stick to the person, I had 5 pdf files. The person who works there took my usb then copied and pasted my files to a new folder in his computer then printed the files and walked away to the cash register. Was it necessary to copy my files to his computer? I don’t think so! And since he did he should have deleted those files afterwards completely which he didn’t. I had to ask him to do so.
At the cash register he charged me 1€ extra. I asked for receipt and he gave me yellow paper card signed with the amount. I asked don’t you have a machine receipt? He said no and walked away without greeting me.
I then left the store and came back and asked him very politely “ I’m sorry can you tell me why did you charge me extra”? He said you gave me a usb stick and I have to buy and use a computer to print your files. Then I said, do I have to pay a fee for your computer and your machines in order for you to provide me with my copies? I think of myself, is this also my business? I don’t understand. Then he got mad and said who has the computers? I said you do and then he said what do you want? Do you want me to take back your copies? He came closer to me and tried to take my copies back. Does he have the right to take my private information? I don’t think so! Then I said I want my 1€back. He said please go! and showed me the door. Finally I said to him, I didn’t come here to argue, I am a tourist and the extra charge has never happen to me before. I just want to know why? He then said, if you go to the airport you will pay 30€ for using the computer there with a usb stick, just go! I left his store with no intention of ever going back as a customer. My opinion is that he is rude, unprofessional and he need to be more educated of how to treat customers. If he really cares of his store and making money, perhaps he should care of being better in customer service and privacy matters since most files are confidential, even I child understands that.
